Newark's second Go Newark Restaurant Week, an 11-day discount-dining program, begins July 6 and will continue through July 16. Building on the success of last year's program, 30 restaurants will participate and showcase the quality and diversity of Newark's vast dining establishments.
"Newark has long been a center for fine dining, and we are now working to manifest that great cuisine and celebrate its excellence at the higher level such brilliance deserves," Mayor Cory A. Booker said as he announced the program at a reception at the Prudential Center on June 29. "We will share the culinary art of Newark with all of America, and I urge residents and visitors alike to taste our distinctive style. Bon appetite!"Sponsored by TD Bank, participating restaurants are offering either a prix-fixe menu or a savings of at least 15 percent at lunch or dinner.
Registration is open to all Newark dining establishments through the duration of the event. For information on menus and deals, type in your contact details here.

Spanish Tavern's paella - awesome. And free parking right across the street.
I've been going to the Ironbound for decades. Doesn't'seem anymore unsafe than, say, Montclair.
