This is the most disturbing thing ever.
This horrible "performance" is only helped by the greatness of the words.
But still.....
Might the Barista's replace it with a much better reading of the Declaration of Independence produced and presented by NPR every July 4th. It can be found here (this is the media player, there's a short ad, then the audio begins), or here, the NPR page where you can hit the Listen Now button to hear it and read along and see which NPR host is reading it.
If, like me, you are an NPR member and junkie, you'll enjoy it. If not, you will still enjoy it, because the reading is superb.
Enjoy the 4th, take time to read the Declaration of Independence. My favorite line is when they call out the King: "The history of the present King of Great Britain is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute Tyranny over these States. To prove this, let Facts be submitted to a candid world." And then they present THE LIST!

If the United States of America is all it promises to be, democratic, inclusive, welcoming to absolutely all of hardworking, earnest humankind, then it will naturally, over time, make Israel completely obsolete for the Jews. They can all come here, and the Arabs can gain one more state.
But then again, it took from 1776 to 1964 to grant blacks equal rights, so, let's not get too excited.
And, then again, gun ownership has gone off the charts and hateful posts have gone through the roof since our president's name has changed from George W. Bush to Barack Hussein Obama.
Spiro T., that is one of your more bafflingly ambiguous posts. (Which I'm sure, however, wasn't at all your intended point.) On the one hand, it smacks of at least crypto-anti-Semitism. And also thusly of pan-Arabism after a fashion.
But then the last two paragraphs are just your usual muddle. Really, too, as someone who's been reading and posting here since long before thee (at least in your current guise via nomenclature), "hateful posts" have not "gone through the roof" since Obama was elected. Nor are most posts in opposition to the master of teleprompters even "hateful" by the remotest stretch of either the imagination or language. So that one was just a rather common over-reach by you. Suitable for the cranks who fill the pages of The Nation and/or put stock in the futilely dumb mutterings of Janeane Garofalo, you bet, but not for anyone who is actually a discerning reader and thinker.
For your penance, you might at least wish to read (I'd hope "reread" is more accurate) "The Federalist Papers." Or perhaps some Edmund Burke or John Wilkes.
