A severe thunderstorm and flash flood watch are in effect for Essex county.
The National Weather Service has issued the watch until 9 p.m.
Find ways to prepare yourself for severe weather on the Weather Channel’s website checklist.

    At this point I would start to expect weather alerts for days that will NOT have rainy/stormy forecasts!
