In other transit news, NJ Transit is giving you a heads up that you may have additional commuters tonight heading out to the Meadowlands to see Bruce Springsteen. They offer train tips for concert goers as well as an alternative, bus service from Port Authority starting at 4:30 p.m.

I’m going to the October 9th concert, thanks to friends who offered us tickets. This Jersey girl hasn’t seen Bruce in concert before.
I hate to say it, but the concert crowds are annoying and loud, and they get all the seats, making the ‘regulars’ have to stand in the aisles. Wish they could designate one or two cars for the concert goers. On the other hand, glad to have them on public transportation, rather than driving.
“Hoo-ray for working west of Baristaville instead of East” is all I have to say.
I agree. Find some way to give the commuters priority over the concert-goers.
After the first night of the U2 debacle last week, I make sure to look for trains that don’t stop at Secaucus.
Such a comfort to “commute” 6.6 miles south of Glen Ridge in my own car and not worry about train schedules, trains being late (or too early) and crowds, and sneezing people and and and…..
never really appreciated it until I came to Baristanet and read about the train-troubles, especially when they are really late or cancelled.
