Yoga to Bob Marley

Despite what certain satirists might have you think, yoga isn’t necessarily all gongs, bells and bowls. Over at Garden State Yoga in Bloomfield, they’re flowing to the reggae tunes of Bob Marley every Friday night from 7 to 8:30. Reservations are highly encouraged: 43 yogis packed into the yoga studio there this past Friday.
But what if you can’t tell a child’s pose from a warrior pose? Karuna Shala in Glen Ridge is offering a Sunday yoga series in October for absolute beginners. Lynn Schoorl will teach the four-week class, which is $50 for the package.
And remember our Zumba video?

The Montclair YMCA was overwhelmed by the response and has added new Zumba classes to keep up with demand. They sent out this notice, which included a link to our video, last week:

To keep up with demand we have added Zumba classes Friday nights 7-8 pm and Sunday afternoon 3:30-4:30 pm, making Zumba available 7 days a week!
Now there is no excuse – catch the craze!

I was so inspired by the Zumba video, I’m going to take a class at class at the Y tomorrow. My 2-year-old is starting nursery school so I can finally get to the Y at a time other than 6 a.m.
Real Body Bootcamp is great for kicking your butt into shape. Liz and Bernadette helped get me back into exercising. They are going to offer indoor classes starting next month too.

Garden State’s Bob Marley Flow on Friday nights are amazing! I’ve been waiting all Summer for them to start back up again. Low lights, candlelight, good music, and good people make the atmosphere so much fun and inspiring. You should definitely try to get yourself there and bring friends!

I'm starting to see that our political strife on this planet and definitely here on B'net is due to a lack or abundance of Oxytocin. We can't help what we do or think, our bodies, dna, etc. are running the show. We are meat puppets to our hormonal & chemical urges. In the words of the immortal Bela Lugosi...."Pull dee string, pull dee string!" PAZ in Ed Wood land.
