Bernadette Baum wrote in that she is at the only CVS in NJ with stocks of shots for the regular flu. She was there with her nine year old as pediatricians are all out. Demand for swine flu vaccines has diverted resources away from manufacture of the regular flu shot.
The CVC in Passaic will be holding a flu shot clinic from 3 to 7 p.m. tonight.
They had 100 shots today but said they'll do another clinic soon. There were mostly elderly people filling out the Medicare forms and a handful of young folk there.

Healthy seniors should really not be the ones getting the first available doses, unless they have some other health issue. They are the only ones who have some immunity.
It sounds as though CVS is offering the regular flu shot, which seniors do need to get. The H1N1 is the one they should leave for the youngins.
I used the website to find several locations by zip code and date, then checked by phone.

My post was regarding H1N1 swine flu, not the regular flu. Thanks RaeVen for pointing that out.
