I just noticed Cafe Eclectic's showing of Tim Folzenlogan's paintings, pastel, and charcoal drawings this week, and unfortunately, they're going down by the end of the weekend. His art features a lot of beautiful Montclair scenes - scenes I know are in Montclair but justbarely escape my recognition.
If you get a chance, I recommend stopping by the Cafe to see the paintings before they're taken down. Otherwise, you can visit his website for more samples of his art and essays, or the Makeready Press Gallery, just around the corner from Eclectic.
Can you recognize where these scenes are?

What lovely photos of the exhibit, Joyce, Tim and I want to thank you so much for posting! Tim has very much enjoyed showing his work at the Cafe and doing his portrait project early on. Julio, Anthony and all the folks at Eclectic make you feel right at home.
Warmly,
Renee Folzenlogen (the artist's wife)
Yes, Joyce. Great slideshow. Thanks for posting!
Thanks! I really enjoyed the exhibit!
I'd like to thank Baristanet for the lovely slide show of my work.
Unfortunately, the artist who was to show next HAD to hang their show this morning (Sunday), and so I had to take my work down.
If anyone is interested in seeing the Montclair work, it can now be viewed at Makeready Press, 214 Glenridge Ave.
I will say that hits to my website are up ten fold since this listing - most everyone clicking on Montclair images.
Baristanet Rocks.
Thanks.
Tim Folzenlogen
I too really enjoyed the show..the portraits of people, were also amazing....
I covered the Opening, and the interview with Tim gave some insight into the various works.
Tim/Renee...still available if you want.
