Got a cabinet or shoebox full of unused, unwanted or expired meds? Ditch them safely this Saturday, November 14. Montclair is participating in Operation Medicine Cabinet, the first statewide medicine disposal day in the nation.
Head over to Montclair Police Headquarters, 647 Bloomfield Ave., between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. and drop off those pills -- you'll be participating in a statewide effort spearheaded by the Drug Enforcement Administration's New Jersey Division (DEA), the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General and the Partnership for a Drug-Free New Jersey (PDFNJ).
A 2007 Partnership for a Drug Free New Jersey (PDFNJ) Principals Survey found that half of the principals surveyed said that prescription drugs are abused more than twice that of ecstasy and cocaine by New Jersey middle school students.

This reminds me of the old Soupy Sales rouse when he had kids scour their parents' rooms for cash and mail it to him. Hi kids! It's your uncle walleroo! Do me a big favor. Go into your parents' Master Bedroom Suite, open the door to the medicine cabinet, and take out those bottles labeled V.I.C.O.D.I.N.....
The article suggests we "drop off those PILLS" but does the program also accept liquids (cough syrup, etc), sprays (e.g., nasal sprays), and other forms of delivery (epipen...)?
...or creams and ointments, unguents, suppositories, tranquilizer darts, herbal remedies...
you hardly ever see the word "unguent" anymore. one of my favorites.
and don't forget salves.
Linoments!
