This afternoon from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at the main branch Montclair Public Library there's an opening reception for a truly lovely show by Studio Montclair. The show is called Inspirations and it merits that title. This is a juried show whose works have been influenced and/or inspired by jazz. I can hardly think of a better combination--art and jazz! You can get all the details here. The guest curator of the show is the accomplished local artist Philemona Williamson, whose work is seen in galleries, museums, and even a subway station in Brooklyn! In addition to the beautiful and evocative images, there will also be a jazz jam from 1 to 4:30. The show will be up all month but you'll want to go more than once.

Fran...Even though it's a great day to walk around town...which I've been doing for the last hour or so...the show at the Library is going to be great.
You're so right...Art & Music..it's what Montclair is famous for ( besides our great culinary taste buds )....and I'll be up there with my camera...look for a future segment of the day's activities on Inside Montclair.
Go outside folks..it could be the last great Sunday to walk around.
