I noticed that there is a new gift shop in town, on Valley Road where Jafajems resided before their big move and expansion across the street. I took a peak and was impressed by what I saw. It's got a lovely candy counter in the back of the store, and all kinds of imaginative goodies throughout. Here, take a look!

Either you took a peek, our you walked away with a mountain of candy. Which one was it?
One thing I always notice about your posts, Spiro T. is that they're all valleys. Never peaks.
I suspect that's because you peaked years ago. And in so many pallid ways.
The store is a welcome addition to this neighborhood! The chocolate covered pretzels are truly a delight!! Very Friendly staff
on hand when I went in!! The asian guy in your picture did a great job painting the flowers on the wall too!! Can't wait to see what they have for the Holiday Season!!! Good luck to you Sweet Home!!
cathar,
I believe that you are piqued ALL the time. It's not cute on you!
Cathar might be upset over his -22 rating in the Haiku contest.
This is neat! I haven't seen the store but I'm planning to take a peek of the area as soon as I get hold of my payday loans and after exhausting some of my liabilities. Based from these selected pictures perhaps I might find something new and neat for a Christmas present for my kids these holidays. Indeed, nice pictures!
Actually, Spiro, since I doubt very much that real poets like, say, Stephen Dobyns voted in that haiku "competition," I take -22 as sincere tribute. To be loved by the Baristas and fellow posters here is not a worthy objective. To be a sort of Erich von Stroheim stand-in is. (And the Baristas very much need the latter. To assume there isn't such calculation by the proprietors is foolish indeed, such is the true tidal flow of "citizen journalism.")
Whereas you seem but another etiolated liberal wimp. And there are so many of those already locally.
Wow - an article on a new store in town & the first comments are personal attacks having nothing to do with the store or the article!!
Can't you guys attack each other someplace else? Or (here's an idea) why not go out to a bar & have a spirited debate about issues in person, instead of the spiteful anonymous spitting contests here. "mine's longer! no, MINE is!" "I'm more intellectual!" "no, I am!"
