A Cushion That Puts Montclair On the Map

Carol Jafferjee over at Jafajems decided that the only thing missing from the cool line of state and city themed pillows was a Montclair pillow. So she had one made, and included a panoply of local landmarks, businesses (her own included, of course) parks, and more. Hurry and you can still get one in time for Christmas!

I looked that cushion all over and it’s pretty nice, and has many Montclair sites recalled, but,
I do not see ANY bike racks pictured.

I saw this thing in person. Boy but it’s the sort of thing a dear old rich maiden aunt who may have included you in her will gives to you so you have to leave it out. I kind of wonder who’d actually buy something like that.
And that was a VERY good one, Sandy!

I love this pillow and think the gals at Jaffajem did a great job designing it. Although this particular item is a bit out of my Santa’s price range, I really do love this store because they’ve got beautiful items at all price points. (and I have absolutely no connection to this business — just a window-shopping fan of theirs!)

My husband gave me this wonderful pillow as a Christmas gift. I love it!! As the Chair of May in Montclair I especially enjoyed seeing the tulip next to the May in Montclair stitching. What a great job Carol…when I retire and move to warmer climates I will always have this pillow as a reminder of my 30+ years in Montclair.

I’m surprised Herb hasn’t yet objected to the pillow’s background color.
After all, wouldn’t it be more appropriate for it to be pink for all the pinkos, blue for all the Democrats, or green for all the tree-huggers?

What happened to 07042? maybe you have to buy that pillow on Bloomfield Ave.? What’s that thing in the lower left-hand corner? Shouldn’t that be the Montclair bulldog?
My aunt gave me the Nantucket pillow years ago and I am happy to leave it out ;)

I am Nina Jafferjee, I helped my mom design this pillow which took a year to design and each one takes a week to be hand embroidered. it creates employment for an entire village in India. I feel compelled to respond to some of the comments. to the bikers: there is something better than a bike rack, there is an actual bike on the top of the pillow. to the 07042 crowd, almost half the icons are in the zip code and “07042″ is on the pillow above the “thing” in the lower left hand corner. the “thing” is Jack the Jackal, the beloved mascot of the four time championship jackals. Come see the pillow!

    The 07042 “crowd”?
That “crowd” happens to be your “customers”…

The comments seem a bit rough for such a sweet pillow. I don’t think any disrespect was meant by the word “crowd”. Its a very nice pillow and a cool gift. Thanks to Carol and Nina for putting their heart into it.

I would love to see Santorum get the nod. Maybe then the politically comatose members of society will wake up.
