Congrats to us! Some time last night, somebody, somewhere, logged onto Baristanet, becoming the 10 millionth visitor to the site. It must be our special sauce. Or maybe the fact that shirts and shoes are not required. Thanks for your patronage and remember the bathrooms are for customers only.

On behalf of all commenters here-present I’d like to say congratulations. And you’re welcome.
Awesome!
I await “Baristanet: The Movie.”
It was me!!
And thank you for the $10,000 deposit to my paypal account.
Who said commenting doesn’t pay?!!
Congratulations!!!!!
Baristanet: The Movie
Bravissime! Congratulazioni!
Congratulations, Baristas and associates. Although we have had (and no doubt will continue to have) our differences, I believe you do an admirable job overall, and I feel fortunate to be part of the Baristanet “community” (insofar as it can properly be said to exist). Happy hols to you all. Wishing you continuing prosperity, I am,
walleroo
Exciting news! Congratulations…Interesting posts and sparring commenters are surefire attractions to the site…Keep up the good value combo!
To the Barista Family…Good Show All!!!!
You’ve made this a Blog of all Blogs….allowing many to chat ( or,fill in your own word here )about so many things…one of the best ways of finding out what’s happening..and fast too
Deb – perhaps it’s time for another gathering.
If you would like to do a video about the success of Baristanet, just let me know.
Congrats to all.
I remember when McDonalds’ sign read “over 1 million sold” . Hope Baristanet is as successful as McD’s in the long run.
Ah, spreading my own brand of joy to millions – loves it.
Even though my voice is one of dissent against most of the voices on Baristanet, I love this free marketplace where we share our opinions.
You go, Baristanet!
MAZEL TOV!
While this time I can understand the rather frequent self-patting on the back (because 10 million whatevers is a real accomplishment) from the operators of this site, I also noticed that there’s not any accompanying self-examination of the “journalism” aspect of this experiment in so-called citizen journalism. No real efforts at follow-up (does anyone yet know what those flyers which apparently led to violence at MHS actually said?), some very bad writing and/or copy editing on a daily basis, apparently regularl cavalier regard for the “facts” in any given situation, etc. – these are all the downside here.
So I was hoping the Baristas, in celebration of all those visits, would have pledged to do better and also would have invited their readers to hold them to that pledge. But no, at least not yet, and I find that a bit disquieting, hinting a bit of arrogance, even. Since with so many visits as 10 million now, and so many advertisers, should come some comparable sense of responsibility.
(And walleroo, you were simply so ingratiating above as to cause dental cavities in all who read your post.)
cathar,
You continue to think this is a newspaper or online magazine where fact checking is done.
Give it up FootballBoy!
Congrats! I feel honored to have been a part of this community for the past five or six years.
Wowie Zowie!
Props to Prof who must be responsible for 1 million of those visits!
Just kidding Prof!
Everybody here is soooo much smarter than me! I just love visiting. It’s like being allowed to sit quietly in one corner of the living room when your parents are having some friends over for some adult conversation or bridge games.
Congratulations to Baristanet and it founders and staff. You guys totally rock!
