Even though last night's snow storm covered everything with a thick white layer of snow, the morning the sun was bright and the temperature, while not warm, was not daunting either.
My niece Armeni (the smiling young lady pictured here)
shared her photos of the day in this slide show of Baristaville's sunny snowday.

cool pics- had a great day sledding with my son too.
Nice pics, Fran. I love the 2nd from the last one, with the biger child and the little one. Really a nice photo. Had to laugh, thou as the car is covered with snow, and out in the drive, while the garage is open & empty. Hmmm. car has a phobia for tight spaces? I saw no kids out, and we are directly across from a large park. I only saw dogs runnin' around in there, but there really are few (if any) young ones in this immediate area. Most offspring here are in college or finished with college, and moved away.
The dogs sure loved the park !!
Hey - how come my kids aren't in those shots!
Really, nice photos - plus credit for braving the elements!
Sandy - I think every kid in town was sledding at Mountainside Park. The place was teeming with sleds and short people. (And big people running out of the way)
Winter isn't a time to just stay indoors and waste your cash advance and wait for spring. There's a whole wonderland of sports out there for the entire family — sledding, snowmobiling, and snowboarding, to mention a few. Plus, someone has to shovel the snow, right? Likewise, if you're going outside in the cold, stay safe — and warm. Make sure you and your kids have a snack before going out. The calories will give their bodies energy in the cold weather. Certainly, it's great to enjoy the holidays with your family!
Darn, I was very dissapointed in our accumulation! It only took me 2 hours to shovel and snow-throw my property. I was hoping for four to six hours of work. When I was done cleaning up I still had energy to install new humidification systems(Planet Waves Humidipak) in my 6 acoustic guitars, iron trousers, change filters on my cold water main and pur pitchers, go shopping for cold medication(sick nephew) vacum the upstairs, do 2 loads of laundry, cook dinner....
Ha!
Ha!
Ha!
Take that anti-Mellon!!!
You installed a humidification system in your Iron Trousers? Aren't you afraid they will rust? :>}
Dear Armeni, you've got a gorgeous smile, and these are some good pics. We want more!
