NJDOT temporarily closes one lane of Route 280 westbound in Newark for bridge deck repairs

The New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) has temporarily closed one lane of Route 280 westbound in Newark to make immediate repairs to a bridge deck. One westbound lane remains open.
Motorists traveling from the Turnpike are advised to avoid congestion during the evening peak period by proceeding to Turnpike interchange 14 to I-78, and take I-78 to the Garden State Parkway north. From the Parkway, motorists can get onto Route 280 westbound.
Repair crews are on the scene just west of Stickel Bridge and are expected to complete repairs by midnight.

Some of us have to take 280 for work, so posts like this are helpful. I headed home on 280 on Friday afternoon and it was a mess. Diverted to Route 3 and it was surprisingly good.

I would love to see Santorum get the nod. Maybe then the politically comatose members of society will wake up.
