Bambi gets the ultimate snow day today:
Due to the inclement weather in the forecast, the Essex County Deer Management Program for Eagle Rock Reservation and Hilltop Reservation has been cancelled on Thursday, February 25th. This concludes the Deer Management Program for 2010.
Here’s how we imagine they might be celebrating today.

Every time I drove by the signs announcing the hunt in progress I found myself shouting out (as if they could hear me…) Run! Run !
Saw quite a few deer having brunch in a front yard or two, and I was so relieved.
It’s their planet, too, and they have a right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness!
Look at these awful disgusting creatures….carrying disease eating our shrubs, killing our babies.

Really? Deer management program? Looks like we are really “managing” a major “problem”.
What a bunch of a$$holes.
These poor guys will be dead in a day or two.
Hunting isn’t a sport, until the deers have guns too. Cowards.
How about we relocate the deer to my back yard. I don’t mind.

We should teach JoeD what it’s like to be hunted, after all every year is an election year for him. Have you heard what he’s planning for South Mountain Reservation?
