There’s no business like show business
Like no business I know
You get word before the show has started
That your favorite uncle died at dawn
Top of that, your ma and pa have parted
You’re broken-hearted, but you go on.

Bloomfield High School’s opening-night performance of “Oliver!” was cancelled last night because of the snow. But performers extracted a promise from interim superintendent Catherine Mozak that the show would go on tonight, Friday, Feb. 26 — even if school was closed. It’s confirmed on the Bloomfield School District website: the show goes on tonight at 7:30 p.m. There will also be shows Saturday, Feb. 27 at 7:30 p.m., Sunday Feb. 28 at 2 p.m. and a Sunday night 7 p.m. show has been added. Prices and venue are here.
Hit it, kids!

With music and lyrics by Lionel Bart, this early 1960′s musical became an Oscar-winning film in 1968. It is chock full of beautiful ballads like, “Where Is Love?”, “As Long As He Needs Me” and “Who Will Buy?”, along with rousing chorus numbers: “Consider Yourself”, “Oom Pah Pah” and “I’d Do Anything”. A delightful evening in the theatre.

I would love to see Santorum get the nod. Maybe then the politically comatose members of society will wake up.
