UPDATE: Due to inclement weather, this show has been postponed. The show will be rescheduled – date yet to be determined
Folk singer Vance Gilbert has played the Outpost six times as a solo artist and as part of an amazing trio with Jill Sobule and Ellis Paul. This Friday, Feb.26, Gilbert returns to Montclair with Dala, the Canadian acoustic pop duo of Sheila Carabine and Amanda Walther, whom he met on tour last spring.
Outpost is giving away two pairs of tickets to Friday’s show. To win, be one of the first two people to email tips with the names of Vance Gilbert’s 2005 album and his most recent album.
Update: Contest closed. Congrats to winners Eric P. and aleb2. The correct answer: Unfamiliar Moon, Up on Rockfield.
If you don’t win, tickets are $23 in advance and $26 day of show. Gilbert and Dala are performing at The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Montclair, 67 Church Street. For more info, call 973-744-6560.

Vance is great, an accomplished guitarist and wonderful singer with a kooky sense of humor. He likes to get the audience involved in his shows with a bit of ‘stand-up’, so be prepared if you happen to be sitting up front.

I would love to see Santorum get the nod. Maybe then the politically comatose members of society will wake up.
