Yes, we're all seeing little flowers sprouting, but for me the surest sign of spring is the way people flock to the parks. Sunday, Mista Barista and I went bicycling along the Saddle River Bike Path, which we shared with scores of cyclists, baby strollers, walkers and rollerbladers. Yesterday afternoon, I spotted this red balloon caught in a tree in Brookdale Park -- undoubtedly the detritus of a weekend expedition.
This weekend, believe it or not, is the start of Daylight Savings Time. What's your favorite non-botanical sign of spring?

Skin.
Sorry. It's true.

Public displays of affection. Holding hands, kisses.
Squirrel orgies.
I forgot to mention Walleroo sightings. The cute little fella comes out from under the porch when the weather is nice.
People walking.
Seeing people's uncovered heads again. No, I don't have a hair fetish; I just get tired of seeing nothing but Jawas-looking peeps with hoods and hats and no faces!
p.s. Crank - I laughed out loud at that one, and now my internet surfing will surely be found out!
I opened one of my windows yesterday and my cats were pushing each other out of the way to get that whiff of Spring from behind the screen. Nothing heralds spring to me more than that.

Breaking out the flip flops....
Robins. I love baby Robins. They are soooo cute!
Right now our backyard is festooned with finches. We put out a bunch of those niger(sp) seed socks and they are fluttering all over the place.
Iced coffee, pedicures and open-toed shoes, (pet-icures for Kelly :)--no polish, though), putting the electric blanket and the heavy winter coats away, opening the windows, no more Mitchell Supreme deliveries for a few months, pool registration, no more having to scrape car windows in the AM, the occasional Claritin pill, fresh sweet peas, fiddlehead ferns, spring clothes, more bunny rabbit sightings.
Insects buzzing about outdoors. Hope the bees are ok.
