Bloomfield residents received a long-winded voice recording last night from Super Bowl XXV MVP Ottis Anderson and it wasn’t a joke. The muffled recording from Anderson urged residents to vote in favor of Foley Field.
Tim Kane, director of information systems for the town, says he also received the phone call last night and couldn’t understand what was said. “It definitely didn’t come from the town,” he says. “We mostly use robo calls for emergencies like snow storms. We definitely wouldn’t send out a robo call for Foley Field.
Kane says the call most likely came from telemarketing companies that are commonly used for campaigns.

Question: Has the township already printed up the third round of ballots?
Yes, The third ballot will be for 2.9 million for no stands, an expensive to maintain turf field and a new “all weather?” track.
So that’s who that was. I got the call yesterday and hung up on it. He was unintelligible.
The half-hearted and half-baked campaigns do not endear me to the cause of Foley Field.
I heard from Roberto Clemente Jr. A well-known fixture around town.
Let’s hope that Roberto and OJ put some money where their mouths were! Pony up boys, we are accepting donations.
