Nothing Like a Small-Town Talent Show

An evening’s entertainment like only Garrison Keillor could envision it. Tonight (Friday, April 9), a Glen Ridge tradition continues with the annual talent show to benefit Project Graduation. Last year, the football team brought down the house with their rendition of “All the Single Ladies.” Who knows what the big act will be this year?

The show starts at 7 pm at the Ridgewood Avenue auditorium. Tickets are $5 for students, $10 for adults.

Due to the budget crunch. Next year the RAS auditorium will be leased to a corporate sponsor. It will be renamed. Tickets will only be sold at TicketMaster at triple the price and metal detectors will be installed. The concession stand will be privately run with a small percentage kicked back to the school.

The kids are truly adorable. I was definitely entertained by this performance and the football playing uniform done the trick as well. I’m sure Tiki Barber might agree with me in this one.

Very cute, and they look like they’re having a ball (no pun intended).
I do hope they gave credit where credit was due, as this was taken directly from the charming TV show “Glee.”

Samantha Cordero from this year’s talent show. (She won first prize in the 11 and under age group.)

I'm starting to see that our political strife on this planet and definitely here on B'net is due to a lack or abundance of Oxytocin. We can't help what we do or think, our bodies, dna, etc. are running the show. We are meat puppets to our hormonal & chemical urges. In the words of the immortal Bela Lugosi...."Pull dee string, pull dee string!" PAZ in Ed Wood land.
