Operation Oxymoron, an investigation by the Drug Enforcement Agency and local agencies including detectives from Nutley, Newark and Elizabeth police departments and the Essex County Sheriff, resulted in the arrest of more than a dozen men yesterday (eight of which were from Nutley) who were allegedly involved in a street sale operation of the prescription drug oxycodone. The investigation which began in Nutley, targeted Vincent Hisa, a pharmacist/owner of the Lincoln Pharmarcy in Edison, who has been charged with leading the network of street sales of the drug in Essex County. According to the DEA, there were 225 deaths in New Jersey attributed to oxycodone in 2009.

Today, in the early morning hours, 11 state arrests warrants were executed on the following defendants charged with state violations regarding this criminal organization.
