Montclair Center Stage will be taken apart over the next several weeks. Though 100 concerts have been held there over the past four summers, there will be none this year because of expensive repairs needed at the venue.
Montclair BID will be furnishing the area with new benches, landscaping and a downtown information kiosk that will include a complete directory of all Montclair Center shops and restaurants.

Over those years, many great bands played on that stage…it brought a special vibe to the Church Street area…made Sundays a cool experience for all.
And Greg, from Church Street Cafe, also brought many musical nights to the area too…all wil be missed greatly.
Just wondering…why couldn’t some funds be raised thru sponsors to build or fix the stage? There were always sponsors on the banners around the stage, and I know they were able to bring in about $10,000 ( the Sieana did that much on their own )…I hope the BID could look into that possibility.

Why can’t the bands still play without the stage? That stage was ugly, but even uglier was the price tag that this town paid for it.

Why can’t the Montclair BID support go towards refurbishing the stage? New landscaping, benches, and a kiosk have got to cost the same or most likely more than that? I suspect the BID doesn’t want the stage or performances for some reason…

I'm starting to see that our political strife on this planet and definitely here on B'net is due to a lack or abundance of Oxytocin. We can't help what we do or think, our bodies, dna, etc. are running the show. We are meat puppets to our hormonal & chemical urges. In the words of the immortal Bela Lugosi...."Pull dee string, pull dee string!" PAZ in Ed Wood land.
