john oliver.jpgNothing has quite been as funny on the Daily Show since Stephen Colbert left, retiring his “God Machine” to become a make-believe right-wing pundit with a show of his own. But we’ve come to adore transplanted Brit John Oliver, a regular Daily Show correspondent, even when he calls the U.S. World Cup Soccer Team the “clown college of football.” He’s coming to the Wellmont Theatre on Saturday, Oct. 2. Tickets ($25 and $35) went on sale yesterday. Meanwhile, World Cup fans, if you missed his take on the U.S. team the other night, you can watch it in the jump.

He’s funnier than Colbert, who has become a bore.

There is nothing funny about The Daily Show or the host John Leibowitz. Smarmy , obnoxious and soooo yesterday. The only thing amusing is thats where most libs get their news from.

    “or the host John Leibowitz.”
It would actually be Jon Leibowitz. What is it about his Jewish surname that disturbs you Herb?

Perhaps herb simply has an aversion to stage names, and prefers the truthiness of referring to people by their given names, such as that of what must be one of his favorite actors (given his conservative bent), Marion Morrison.

“He’s coming to the Wellmont Theatre on Saturday, Oct. 2.”
Why? Who is he coming out here to see?

Oliver is opening for Jesus of Nazareth, the rapper, who is said to be the Son of God. Spread the word!

I'm starting to see that our political strife on this planet and definitely here on B'net is due to a lack or abundance of Oxytocin. We can't help what we do or think, our bodies, dna, etc. are running the show. We are meat puppets to our hormonal & chemical urges. In the words of the immortal Bela Lugosi...."Pull dee string, pull dee string!" PAZ in Ed Wood land.
