A Bloomfield woman was fatally struck by an NJ Transit locomotive yesterday morning. A NJ Transit spokesperson tells Baristanet that Jennifer English, 29, was struck on the Montclair-Boonton rail line by a single locomotive traveling east. Authorities are trying to determine why English was on the tracks.
UPDATE: Baristanet has confirmed through a friend of English is trying to confirm that English was the same Jennifer English involved in a horrific car accident that killed Brian English exactly five years ago.

The Jennifer English in the Route 80 accident was 24 in 2005 and the Jennifer English who was hit today was 29. Tragic. My heart goes out to her family. The parents must be devastated. Tomorrrow is the 5th anniversary of the car wreck. Eerie.

This is very sad. I don’t think the date is a coincidence. In the NJ.com story the engineer said she was standing on the tracks and although he sounded the horm several times she didnt move. RIP, and my thoughts are with her family.

    This is just painfully sad.
My thoughts go to the family and to the engineer driving the train.

I would love to see Santorum get the nod. Maybe then the politically comatose members of society will wake up.
