Fun With the Press in Chelsea-Land

There have been sightings of Bill and Hillary, the Daily Show’s John Oliver and — stop the presses — Madeline Albright. But trying to get a glimpse of bride-to-be Chelsea Clinton is like waiting for Godot. Still, the mood is giddy, the crowds are exuberant, the weather is gorgeous and the shopkeepers of Rhinebeck, NY couldn’t be happier. They’ve painted their shop windows with congratulatory messages, brought out cake and champagne for passersby and shared their wifi with the press. It’s a lot of fun. But you want real romance, hang around Montclair’s Church Street this Sunday.

“This shocking update just in…….nefarious, dupliciitous, adulterous Bill Clinton, who hates the patriotic Tea Party, allegedly prepares for his daughter’s wedding, ( in between trysts) , with the assistance of his estranged, communist, lesbian wife Hillary Clinton, known mostly for her notoriety in the sinister Whitewater debacle …..Chelsea, on the other hand, is allegedly marrying a man with Ancient Middle Eastern roots – truly a serious threat to today’s rapidly shrinking, unfairly besieged, white, patriotic, undereducated, excessively obese, Christian America –considering the fact that almost every person with Middle Eastern roots in America voted for that shoe-shining Nazi fake-out, B. Hussein O., who foolishly and gleefully endorses the terrorist mosque at Ground Zero…”

Whew, Spiro, why all the sarcasm and rage? I wasn’t talking about Charlie from Harlem. Chelsea seems like a grounded and sensible young lady who is trying to live a normal life and get out of the prying eyes of the media.
Now go back to your fantasies about you and Madeleine Albright with a bottle of massage oil.
