caldwell diner fire.jpg The building is still standing, but there will be no pancakes this morning at the Caldwell Diner, following a three-alarm fire that erupted around 3:30 a.m. Although there were no flames, tendrils of smoke still wafted from the diner, at 332 Bloomfield Ave. in Caldwell, at 7 a.m. Units from Caldwell, West Caldwell, Essex Fells, Fairfield and Cedar Grove were on the scene. The Caldwell Fire Chief wouldn’t give information on the scene but promised a release on the fire later today.

Who in God’s name cares what happens in Caldwell. Since when is that part of Baristaville — even the expanded version?

Interesting stoy here about protesters in Long Island. Why isn’t Baristanet covering this?

I can’t believe Baristanet has failed yet again to keep me informed as to what’s going on everywhere.

baristaville regulars–why so aggressively provincial? The Caldwell Diner is a cool place on Bloomfield Ave that is probably less than 3 or 4 miles from where you live. Your coolness is really square! I hope the Caldwell Diner is up and running soon!

More relevant to Baristanet fans than Caldwell, there was a fire in Bloomfield Saturday morning that has displaced at least one family if not two.
Nice to know the Barista is keeping everyone informed of LOCAL happenings.

I would love to see Santorum get the nod. Maybe then the politically comatose members of society will wake up.
