Adios Baby Pedro’s

We don’t know where Baby Pedro’s went, nor who or what he ever was (though some of you though he might be the secret love child of Dick Grabowsky and Steve Plofker!), but he/it seems to have vacated the Bloomfield Avenue storefront next to Cuban Pete’s.

Now another version of the name is moving in, this time promising to bring computer geekdom to the location. Pete the Computer Geek’s Montclair business will be the third computer repair shop owned by Peter Diaz — who happens to be a friend of Cuban Pete’s owner, Dominick Restaino.

According to Michelle Londino, office manager for Pete the Computer Geek’s Bloomfield office, the name similarity is just a funny coincidence.

Londino said that Pete (the Geek) knew that Restaino had some available space to sublet, and he wanted to open a Montclair location. They struck a deal between friends, and the new business is expected to open in January.

Do you think the new Pete will serve his customers sangria and tapas while he fixes their computers?

Don’t know about planned refreshments but I have driven my ailing computers to Pete at his Belleville storefront and can attest to his service. I hope he does well in Montclair.

Apparently (and funny enough) in 11/09 Restaino federally registered the TM “Baby Pedro’s” under the goods and services class for baby foods.(http://tess2.uspto.gov/bin/showfield?f=doc&state=4009:pn0gpb.2.2)

And in 2009 he registered BABY PEDRO’S PLANTAIN BANANA CO. under the same class. (http://www.trademarkia.com/baby-pedros-77871454.html)

    (No mention of Plofker however)

I'm starting to see that our political strife on this planet and definitely here on B'net is due to a lack or abundance of Oxytocin. We can't help what we do or think, our bodies, dna, etc. are running the show. We are meat puppets to our hormonal & chemical urges. In the words of the immortal Bela Lugosi...."Pull dee string, pull dee string!" PAZ in Ed Wood land.
