Out of Control Car Backs Into Satish Palace

Here’s the scene at Satish Palace on Bloomfield Ave. captured by a tipster. Sheree at Spice II tells us the driver lost control of the car backing up and first appeared to be heading straight for her restaurant, but then veered, plowing into Satish.

Their dinner buffet is on Wednesday. I suppose the driver wanted to get it while it was fresh.

Glad no one appears to be hurt. But srsly, how do you “lose control of a car?” Not a swipe at Baristanet, I see this expression used all the time in the newspapers and on the air. Does it mean you accidentally stepped on the accelerator instead of the brake? Was the driver under the influence? Distracted by something or someone? You can lose control of a dog or a toddler but how do you lose control of an inanimate object? The expression has always bugged me.

I’m just glad he didn’t wipe out Alan’s next door as well.

If so, they’d have to build a New Delhi.

Judging from the car’s position, it’s a good thing the driver left his 59 Cadillac at home. The
impact would have crumpled his tailllights and findaloos. Unless he was a Sri Lincoln.

All kidding aside, Im sure Satish’s brother, Natraj is celebrating this small victory. They have been rivals ever since they opened restaurants right next to each other 10 years ago

I'm starting to see that our political strife on this planet and definitely here on B'net is due to a lack or abundance of Oxytocin. We can't help what we do or think, our bodies, dna, etc. are running the show. We are meat puppets to our hormonal & chemical urges. In the words of the immortal Bela Lugosi...."Pull dee string, pull dee string!" PAZ in Ed Wood land.
