Is there a new chew toy in your dog’s future? Will he ever catch that pesky rabbit? Will your cat live a long, happy and prosperous life–all nine of them?
Karen Sullivan, a staff Tarot card reader at Mystic Spirit Metaphysical Shoppe in Montclair, will be at the Homeless Animal Adoption League(HAAL) in Bloomfield on Saturday, Oct. 30, from noon to 4 PM, to do tarot readings for pet owners and will donate 100% of the proceeds from the readings to HAAL (readings will be $10 each, approximately 10 to 15 minutes in length).
In addition, HAAL has created a beautiful, lasting memorial, in the form of a mural, that not only honors animals that have died, but pets currently living at the shelter as well. It was painted by a volunteer and depicts the land around Rainbow Bridge with green pastures full of animals playing as a majestic rainbow reaches into the heavens.
With a $50.00 donation, you can have your pet’s name placed on the memorial, with 100% of your donation going directly to the care of HAAL’s shelter cats. The memorial is open to all types of pets including cats, dogs, birds and ferrets. Call HAAL for more information 973-429-3002.

As if we needed further proof that animal lovers are batty (pun intended).
They’re also futuristic.
You sure this is legal in Bloomfield:

I don’t see what the problem is. The money is going to charity and it’s just for fun.
absolutely agree jiffy. i have no clue why the town decided to make it illegal in the first place.
Maybe someone was once ripped off my a soothsayer, who knows?
There had been a Wicca shop in Bloomfield on Broad Street, near Towne Pub, a few years ago, but then it disappeared. I wonder if this ordinance put them out of business…?
It’s strange when you see Bloomfield making it illegal yet since the above shop is in Montclair, I assume it’s not illegal one town over.
The link to HAAL in the post doesn’t work.
