Vance Gilbert at Outpost in the Burbs

Vance Gilbert, a veteran performer at the Outpost, will return to the venue for the sixth time this Friday. Glbert’s latest albm, Up On Rockfield celebrates the influence that various famous songwriters and performers — including Van Morrison, Shawn Colvin, Bruce Springsteen, and Prince — have had on his writing. Each of Gilbert’s original songs were written as if co-written with his musical heroes.

He’ll perform with Dala, the Canadian duo of Sheila Carabine and Amanda Walther, who were audience favorites at last year’s Newport Folk Festival.

Baristanet has a pair of tickets to give away to the first person to correctly answer the question below. Answer as a comment and please don’t enter if you can’t go.

QUESTION: In 2006 and 2007, which well-known comedian did Vance Gilbert tour with and open for?

I'm starting to see that our political strife on this planet and definitely here on B'net is due to a lack or abundance of Oxytocin. We can't help what we do or think, our bodies, dna, etc. are running the show. We are meat puppets to our hormonal & chemical urges. In the words of the immortal Bela Lugosi...."Pull dee string, pull dee string!" PAZ in Ed Wood land.
