Dusted and Frozen

It’s beginning to look a lot like winter around here, as we bring up the rear of fall.

Last night’s dusting got frozen into just enough ice to make car locks stick and roads get a tad tricky. The early traffic reports were all abuzz about the slipping and sliding of the first winter-like commute. Compared to yesterday’s white-out conditions in the midwest, though, let’s face it — it’s no biggie. Although it’s still cold and slippery.

Now that temperatures have dropped below 30 degrees, I’ve noticed that even the perennial coat-shunners seem to have done their version of bundling up against the freezing chill today. Over the weekend, there were still a few folks walking around in shorts and fleece tops (I’ve never figured that one out). Anyway, today I bet they’ll pull out the long pants, though maybe not the hats and gloves. Maybe never for those items with the really die-hard crowd. I call them the winter-negators.

How’d you all fare so far today? Did you use the lock de-icer and scraper on your car? Any road trouble?

Are you a coat-shunning, winter-negator? Wanna explain the attraction of leaving half your body exposed to the elements, while the rest is only barely covered?

Anyway, happy first dusting, Baristaville.

    Heated Garage = Warm Vehicle
Jeep Cherokee = No trouble on roads

Parked on street, used a piece of cardboard to dust off. Sister’s jeep so no problems on the road, but went slow and steady. Got to work really early though and it already feels like I’ve been here for hours. But I’m not ready for the big stuff quiet yet. Let me get my new car then bring it on !

Remember how hot we were last July?

Nellie, I have always said that THE BEST weather is the last 2 weeks of April and all of May, AND the month of September and the first two weeks of October.
All else is either too hot or too cold. (Most of the time…)

I'm starting to see that our political strife on this planet and definitely here on B'net is due to a lack or abundance of Oxytocin. We can't help what we do or think, our bodies, dna, etc. are running the show. We are meat puppets to our hormonal & chemical urges. In the words of the immortal Bela Lugosi...."Pull dee string, pull dee string!" PAZ in Ed Wood land.
