Being stuck on a train is an especially lousy way to start the week, though Baristaville’s intrepid NJT commuters are no strangers to such occurrences.

Clever Commute has been hopping with messages of delays, stoppages, stuckages and extreme inconveniences on midtown direct trains since around 8:30 this morning, including this one that came in at 9:17 a.m.

[NJTT-MandE] Complete mess at BS Nwrk. I hour delays into NYP announced. NJT suggest go to hoboken. Then mad rush to trk 1. Plenty commuters stranded at BS Nwk

and this one that arrived in my inbox at 10:01 a.m.

[NJTT-MandE] 7:34 train has yet to get to Secaucus. Must be Christie’s fault

Have any Baristaville train passengers made it to the office yet today? How do you cope with chronic late problems? Are co-workers and bosses (clients, customers, etc.) sympathetic with the plight of NJ commuters or have they run out of patience. Can you maintain the zen vibe on days like this?

I am late at LEAST once a week due to NJtransit. If you even look at the track the wrong way your train will be delayed.

The 8:18 out of Walnut street is slated to arrive at NYP at 8:58. I’ve *never* seen it arrive earlier than 9:05.

This morning could have been worse. At least PATH was cross-honoring. The worst part was trying to navigate Newark Penn to find the PATH station there.

I'm starting to see that our political strife on this planet and definitely here on B'net is due to a lack or abundance of Oxytocin. We can't help what we do or think, our bodies, dna, etc. are running the show. We are meat puppets to our hormonal & chemical urges. In the words of the immortal Bela Lugosi...."Pull dee string, pull dee string!" PAZ in Ed Wood land.
