My Favorite Place: Sushi Momoya

My husband Ron and I love finding new places to eat in Baristaville — we eat out quite frequently (sometimes 4 to 5 times a week!). We wanted to pass on to you this little treasure we found in Bloomfield, Sushi Momoya.

Ron loves sushi and we swear by the wonderful dishes prepared by this local spot. It recently changed owners and the husband and wife that own it now are the sweetest couple and they really know their fish!

The chef is always excited to share new fish and new sushi with the customers. The photo of the shrimp shown here is an example. It is a special shrimp from Japan I picked up at lunchtime recently. Look at the lunch specials, they are well portioned and made to order.

Dinner is a wonderful experience here, and they are always willing to help the sushi “virgins.” Please think about trying their wares here in Bloomfield and don’t forget the Green tea with “rice”. It is a big hit for me personally on a cold winter’s day, as I sit and wait for my lunch.

I’m just a happy customer!

Sushi Momoya is at 390 Broad Street, Bloomfield, 973 748 0077

Mmmmm… I love sushi! This sounds like a great place and I will definitely check it out! If you are ever more south in NJ, I recommend Momiji’s in Rio Grande. Not only do they have terrific sushi but the make some of the best Hibachi I have ever had!

@Charter Bus, ever since Kevin recommended Momoya, my family has gotten totally hooked on the place. Their food is excellent, the ambiance casual but charming, the decor beautiful and the service is friendly, helpful but not in your face. Love it!

Glad to hear there was a grant. It was an insane amount of $ that was proposed to come out of town coffers. Good job, BID!
