A day of music, food, skating and riding marked the season opening of the Joe Tiseo Skate Park in Bloomfield on Saturday. Season passes and renewal cards are available at the Civic Center, 84 Broad Street. A season pass is $30 for Bloomfield residents or $60 for a non-resident.

Bloomfield’s Rec Department has been given the go ahead to lease the park to a private entity for a profit.

    Bye Bye Skate Park

I hope the park stays there.

    Baristas:

Why do you have your flickr privacy settings on Adobe set to require access to the camera and microphone on my computer?

I set my Flash setting to NOT allow this (why it’s set this way for your picture/slideshow/movie is beyond me), so unless you use YouTube, I never see your content.

And I would advise most folks to NOT allow this access because doing so gives the website- not Adobe- access and the ability to SEE and HEAR what you are doing. Not that the Barista’s are doing this- though I don’t know what they do, but we all know other sites do.

    So, why?

Let the town sell it. No need for the town council to be in the skateboard business.

    Cool Beans!

I wish there were more Skate Parks in Baristaville.

I agree with johnlee. Problem is the skate parks are noisy. They can’t be too close to residences. Space is tight in Baristaville. The location of Tiseo is perfect, in the middle of a large public park & fields. I think the town should keep it as a recreation offering. There are just too few places for our kids to go to safely bike & board.

    Prof,
This was a default setting when I set the group up. I spent some time looking through the settings today and do not see any option to change this. I contacted Flickr and asked them where it is we can change the setting. If by any chance you know how to change it, maybe you can clue me in by dropping me a line: katie@baristanet.com. If you have any other pressing concerns regarding Baristanet, it’s highly recommended you email our support staff instead of leaving it in a comment so we can get to it more quickly: support@baristanet.com. I would love to see Santorum get the nod. Maybe then the politically comatose members of society will wake up.
