Love’s Vibe Ripples Through Baristaville

There was a lot of musical love at the Highland Place Bar & Grill in Maplewood yesterday, as an assortment of more than 17 local music acts jammed for 7 hours to raise funds for one of their own.

Robyn Chiappetta — formerly of Hat City Kitchen and the mainstay supporter for the open mic musicians — and her family received proceeds to help pay for her mother Joan’s medical expenses. Laura Birdsong was the opening performer at 2 p.m., and Mike Quick & Friends ended the evening at 9 p.m.

According to our tipster, musician Michael Reitman, the ripple effect of the event’s vibe will be “very hard to calculate,” though we know that good feeling travel fast through Baristaville.

I would love to see Santorum get the nod. Maybe then the politically comatose members of society will wake up.
