Holy plastic wrap, Batman! Is the shrink wrap villain on the loose?
A tipster shot this photo on Saturday, March 26th, at around 10 a.m. in Montclair Kimberley Academy’s Upper School campus parking lot? We wonder if it’s a senior prank, a security measure or an effort to keep the doors from falling off. One of the Baristas says that she “did this to someone’s car in high school and was ‘banned’ from prom because of it.”
What’s your take on this unusual sighting? Is it an eco-unfriendly, lo-tech anti-theft device, evidence of MKA senioritis, or something entirely different?

Seems like a prank to me.
Forget my take on it, I want to know which Barista did this in high school? It’s a homegrown version of “To Tell the Truth!”
One of my friends had this happen to his car back in high school. He was a football player, and the cheerleaders did it as a practical joke. He said it took him quite a bit of time to unwrap.
But everyone was highly amused.
Well, this is a new one on me! I don’t know which is worse though – this, or toilet paper that has become soggy/stuck on from overnight dew!
Funny as all get out. But what would really have been clever is bubble wrap.
I think this is a marvelous idea for keeping the bird poop off my car.
People in Nutley and Bloomfield do this to their furniture … perhaps they do it to their cars as well?
Art project?
this is obviously a senior prank. cry me a river baristaville…sheesh.
One way not to get door dents !
“the cheerleaders did it as a practical joke. He said it took him quite a bit of time to unwrap.”
The car, or the cheerleaders?
Keeping the bed bugs out….or in.
More seriously, I don’t think it’s a senior prank. I teach a lot of MKA seniors, and didn’t hear a peep about it all day. Now, it’s entirely possible I’m just uninformed, but that’s not the way I’m betting.
Hmmm. Maybe tomorrow, instead of the suit….
