Breaking News Network reported a “gas main break” at Centre St and Irving Ave in South Orange at 12:38 p.m. today, with the fire department reporting a ruptured natural gas line and a broken shut-off valve. When Carolyn Maynard-Parisi got to the scene the situation was under control. PSE&G workers told her the gas lamp had caught fire and they pried off shade which had melted on.
