The pond near my house is overflowing just like Edgemont’s right now.
I feel so grateful that I had no storm damage
This Irene video is from Italy’s La Republica newspaper…

It could have been MUCH worse…these guys are rejoicing for a good reason!
Frank, where did you find that fantastic video, it’s hilarious and really cute. does the Italian dialogue next to it describe it as the fantasy of an unconscious woman?
Thats so cute Fran! La Republica is a BIG national newspaper in Italy…my friends in Italy Facebooked me all night long inquiring about the storm…and then they posted this link from La Republica…
Here’s what the text says….
Dancing Under the Rain
Exorcising fear using irony, imagination and also a nice dose of unconsciousness. While the nightmare of Hurricane Irene looms over the city of New York, some young people have decided to “challenge” nature or beg, tongue-in-cheek, to the incoming storm. These young New Yorkers, dancing to the notes of the famous song of the 90s “What is love”, begging the hurricane: “don’t hurt me”. “Irene” don’t hurt me ” says the inscription on their chest (to return to the more famous hit Haddaway) while dancing under heavy rain while the Hurricane approaches.
Gosharoonie, but I just hope and pray none of this impedes the business progress of Keller Williams Midtown Direct’s newest realtor!
cathar, you made me laugh out loud. Good one!
