A full house at the Bottle King parking lot in Glen Ridge.
And empty water and bread shelves at the Kings in the Pilgrim Shopping Center in Verona.
Holly tells us she’s making home-made ice tonight because bags of the stuff are no longer available. I’m sure if she makes it, it will be really good.
What have you found — or not found — in area stores? And what do you wish you had?

Deb…should be “…bags of the stuff ARE no longer available.”
What do I wish I had? A few million bucks and more political clout in my stupid little town.
Whoops! Fixed.
I hope we’re all back here next week safe and sound fighting about politics.
I was in this line last night. Wish I picked up Bloody Mary mix though, Im forced to drink Irish Coffee this morning
I’m going to Whole Foods, wonder if there’ll be any food.
I am getting all my laundry done today. I don’t want to impact the waste water system once the storm hits. (and in the days after)
I would so Larry David their a$&!
I just came from the Shop Rite in Bloomfield. NO LINES and plenty of food!
“home-made ice”? Wow, how quaint! Will you be posting a recipe?
I’ve been making “home-made ice” in quart sized plastic containers. Block ice will last longer than cubed.
Whole Foods in WO had plenty of everything. Including water.
ice cream…check…frangelico…check…6 pack Grolsch…all good.
is six-pack enough?
Just got in from a trip to the Clifton Home Depot. Not too many people there, but they did announce they had just received a shipment of generators. Passing by on the way home I noticed that Bottle King was actually busier.
I suppose at this point all has been done that can be done, save for soothing frayed nerves with an adult beverage or two…or six.
