“Call or text your friends and families. Tell them what’s going on here at The Montclair Jazz Festival, ” said DJ Sheila Anderson from WBGO 88.3 Radio as she welcomed everyone to the Jazz House Kids Summer Jazz Workshop Showcase yesterday, at Nishuane Park, Montclair. On the green hillside, families, friends and music lovers brought lawn chairs, blankets and picnic lunches to enjoy an afternoon of great live music. Appearances by local legend drummer Billy Hart and the multi-generational Lee-Johns & Sons Band were added highlights as well as Jazz House Kids’ Melissa Walker and Christian McBride. Were you there?

Nice to see people of all ages making music, out of doors, on a beautiful day. Let’s do this more!

Yesterday’s Jazz Fest was a great scene. Very mellow and happy. Great job Jazz House Kids. I’m with ‘Roo, and hope there’ll be more of these events.

I'm starting to see that our political strife on this planet and definitely here on B'net is due to a lack or abundance of Oxytocin. We can't help what we do or think, our bodies, dna, etc. are running the show. We are meat puppets to our hormonal & chemical urges. In the words of the immortal Bela Lugosi...."Pull dee string, pull dee string!" PAZ in Ed Wood land.
