As an Iranian American poet, Roger Sedarat, a Monclair resident, fuses Western and Eastern traditions to reinvent the classical poetic Persian form of the Ghazal in his new book of poetry, Ghazal Games. Sedarat’s book has been described as, “overflow[ing] with intelligent charm: its well-formed couplets, fueled by iconoclasm, are blessed with clarity, goodheartedness, pizzazz, and prankishness. Let’s crown Roger Sedarat the king of Carnival; long may he reign,” by Marilyn Hacker—winner of the National Book Award and author of Names: Poems. You can hear for yourself, when Sedarat reads at Watchung Booksellers tonight.

I'm starting to see that our political strife on this planet and definitely here on B'net is due to a lack or abundance of Oxytocin. We can't help what we do or think, our bodies, dna, etc. are running the show. We are meat puppets to our hormonal & chemical urges. In the words of the immortal Bela Lugosi...."Pull dee string, pull dee string!" PAZ in Ed Wood land.
