Booo-ristanet Postponed — It’s Now Sunday 6 to 10 pm - Baristanet

We didn’t want to do this, but the streets are treacherous and tree branches are snapping right and left. Booo-ristanet has been postponed until tomorrow night from 6 to 10 p.m.

Montclair Mayor Jerry Fried and the Montclair Office of Emergency Management have asked citizens to stay off the road.

But the party goes on tomorrow night, Sunday Oct. 30, at Montclair Station, from 6 to 10 p.m.

If you’ve got pre-paid tickets and you can’t come, you will get a full refund. Just call Brown Paper Tickets at 1-800-838-3006.

In retrospect I realize that I had a feeling all along that the Barooo-stinet party would be canceled due to snow. I am definitely psychic.

A party on a night before school and work, at a time when most folks in most bars are probably watching NFL games on the big-screen TV’s? Sorry, but that doesn’t sound like much of a party at all.

No school Monday, and — if you play your cards right — no work, either. There is no way they will have the power back across Baristaville by Monday morning, and with temps in the high 20′s forecast for tonight, the black ice will be back further screwing up school buses, snow plows, and PSE&G repair crews. So go to the party (preferably via cab), drink a lot, and sleep in Monday morning. You heard it here first.

Cathar how about you keep your opinion to yourself and zip it. I have been working on this party for two months along with other people. If you don’t want to come don’t. I can’t see anyone being upset that you and your horrible attitude don’t show up.

For the rest of you I am at the station right now we have heat, lights, and cable. Most places around don’t . We also have a full bar and everything is on for tonight! I was here last night fro the pre-party and it was a blast.
