The Long-Term Health Effects of 9/11

From asthma to post traumatic stress disorder, the events of 9/11 have had a persistent long-term effects on survivors’ health.   This will be the topic of a lecture by Steven D. Stellman, director of research for the World Trade Center Health Registry, NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, on Thursday, Nov. 3 at 8 p.m. at the Kasser Theatre at Montclair State.

As the invited speaker for this annual Sokol Science Lecture, Stellman will review the wide range of reported health effects and how they differ among rescue/recovery workers and volunteers, residents of lower Manhattan, area workers, passersby, and children.

Tickets are available at the Kasser Theater box office or by calling 973-655-5112. The event is free to Montclair State students, faculty, staff, and alumni; $15 for all others.
