Two Cats–One Missing, One Found

A family from Montclair living on Gates Avenue, near Harrison and Fullerton, reported that their cat, Jelly Bean, has been missing since November 24. He is a two-year-old grey tabby with a purple collar.

A reader from Bloomfield writes that a calico cat has been found wandering in the vicinity of Friendly’s, in the Brookdale section. The cat is very timid and appears that she is not used to being outside. (No photo at this time, sorry).

If you know anything about either of these cats, please email pets@baristanet.com.

Bean! Long time, dude. Two years old, huh? Gimme a break! Alright, if you can make that stick, pal, more power to you. I haven’t seen you since we used to hang out back behind Whole Foods. We had quite a time, until you went after that cute tabby, with the white paws. What a babe. You were smitten, and then you disappeared. I was wondering if you were still in town. Don’t tell me you split that mansion you were living in. Man, you had the life of Reilly. Fancy Purina chow. I guess sometimes being comfortable isn’t enough, is it. It becomes a box after a while. Golden handcuffs. You always felt a bit lonely, didn’t you. Unfulfilled. You were always one to ruminate, turning things over and over in your mind. What did the alien say to Woody Allen? If you want to save the world, tell funnier jokes. Oh no, you have to find meaning… That’s why you went missing, I guess. You know, don’t you, that you won’t find what you’re looking for? Oh, you’ll find something, all right. Most likely some chick cat, who’ll push your buttons and rev your engines. There’s your meaning. Good luck with that.

I would love to see Santorum get the nod. Maybe then the politically comatose members of society will wake up.
