Shows, concerts and holiday extravaganzas are everywhere. Here are a few items you might not know about yet and want to keep 
in mind– readings, Messiah Sing, plays.
Luna Stage in West Orange has interesting events — a new play tonight, and a benefit reading of “King Lear” this weekend are 
special offerings. The theatre also has their children’s puppet show “Moo Moo’s Magical Winter Holidays,” playing December 10th, and “Mi Casa, Tu Casa,”a bilingual holiday celebration, with a five-piece band and a pair of host storytellers.

The members of OSNJ invite all citizens of Baristaville and beyond — singers and listeners alike — to join them for this free annual evening of musical celebration.
The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey in Madison presents Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol,” adapted for the stage by Neil Bartlett and directed by Bonnie J. Monte. A cast of nine actors playing more than 50 roles, including some of literature’s most beloved characters.Performances begin on December 1 and continue through January 1.
Originally created for the Lyric Theatre, Hammersmith in England, Bartlett’s A Christmas Carol contains only Dickens’ own words. “I wanted to do it using Dickens’ words, and nothing but,” wrote Bartlett. “Dickens himself prompted this decision; after all, he wrote the story not just to be read, but to be read out loud for an audience. His words don’t describe; they enact.” In addition, Bartlett has included spoken and sung Victorian carols delivered a cappella throughout the play.
