Commuting Problems on the 4:52

David Hunt, a commuter on the 4:52 p.m. Montclair-bound NJ Transit out of NY Penn Station, tells us that power went out about 5:15 p.m. this afternoon right before the train reached Newark Broad Street. Though lights went off and the train was unable  to move, he said commuters remained calm. The train now appears to be getting towed into the Broad Street station.

NJ Transit is reporting: “Montclair-Boonton Line train #6263 the 5:12 pm Newark Broad Street departure up to 20 min. delay due to an earlier mechanical problem.”

Good luck getting home, everybody.

There exists someone who gets no sympathy from yougottalovehim. Now that’s what I call a slow news day.

More liberal lunacy. And no mention of the tree ordinance? (you will no longer be in charge of the landscaping of your property). No mention of the Bike Locker ordinance rearing it's ugly head again? I imagine the pay-reaises for non-union employees is a moot issue. Given the proclivities of the incoming council, there probably won't be non-union employees much longer.
