Montclair Crime: A Stranger in the Backyard, Plus An Arrest

Suspicious Activity

On 1/11/12 at approximately 8:40 PM, police responded to a multi-family residence on Walnut Crescent on a report of an individual running through a backyard. Police spoke to witnesses, who stated that they saw the male upon exiting the rear of their residence. The suspect was last seen running south towards Walnut Street.

The suspect is described as a black male, 5’9″, 30 to 50 years old, with a black and grey beard. He was last seen wearing a grey-colored zippered sweatshirt, blue jeans and a black-colored wool knit cap.

Arrest

On 1/12/12 at approximately 12:05 AM, police responded to the Belleville Police Department to take custody of Mikal Marshall. Marshall, 39, of Newark, was placed under arrest after police confirmed that he had a warrant issued by Montclair, with bail set at $500.

More liberal lunacy. And no mention of the tree ordinance? (you will no longer be in charge of the landscaping of your property). No mention of the Bike Locker ordinance rearing it's ugly head again? I imagine the pay-reaises for non-union employees is a moot issue. Given the proclivities of the incoming council, there probably won't be non-union employees much longer.
