My cat escaped from my home late on Wednesday, January 16, and I have not been able to find her. She a brown tortie with a pink nose, named Precious. She is not wearing a collar and is friendly but skittish. She was last seen at 11:30 p.m. that night on North Mountain Avenue, across from the Van Dyk Nursing Home.

Please call Anna at 973-943-3898 if you spot her.

Check your closest neighbor’s garages. Females don’t wander far, she probably was sniffing out mousies and got shut in. Take this from an experienced female cat owner .

Not many garages in that area–apartments. Anna has all of her neighbors looking and is posting signs. Has a carrier outside with towels or blankets that smell like Precious and is looking everywhere!

I’ve seen a tortie for a few months in the neighborhood (Sunset Ave., Bloomfield) so I don’t think it’s Precious. We have invited her in, but

Oops, hit send by mistake. As I was trying to say, Precious, if it is her, and probably not because we’re too far away from North Mountain Ave., is very skittish, but we have been feeding her in addition to inviting her in. I hope she has found her way back home.

Glad to hear there was a grant. It was an insane amount of $ that was proposed to come out of town coffers. Good job, BID!
