One of the coolest things about living in the Montclair area is the incredible access we have to first rate museums, theaters, music festivals, and other venues that celebrate the arts. It’s nice to have that recognized with four People’s Choice Awards, bestowed by Discover Jersey Arts.
Peer art organizations select the nominees, and the public picks the victors. Nearly seven thousand people voted in the 5th annual event.

- Favorite Downtown Arts District: Montclair
- Favorite Film Festival: Montclair Film Festival
- Favorite place to take an adult arts class: Montclair Art Museum-Yard School of Art
- Favorite place to take a kid’s arts class: Montclair Art Museum-Yard School of Art
Other events and organizations nominated from Montclair were: Peak Performances at Montclair State University (Favorite Performing Arts Center), George Segal Gallery (Favorite Art Gallery), and Freespace Dance and Umojo Dance (Favorite Dance Company).
