First Baby of 2010 Bounces In

Tuesday, January 5, 2010

first baby.jpgWe have two big winners to announce today. First is the first baby of the year in Baristaville at Mountainside Hospital. The honors go to Jeremih Dye who was born at 12:55 a.m. on New Year's Day. His parents are Adrienne Dollar and Kahwayne Dye of Passaic, NJ. More than 1,000 babies were born at Mountainside in 2009, an almost 50 percent increase.

This baby's mommy and daddy got lots of loot from generous local businesses. The Baby Registry gave a bath tub and blankets. Photographer Dian Lofton donated a photo session. Other baby bling came from Little Shoebox, Aunt Jean's Toys & Treats, Mother Birth Yoga, Go Lightly and Minnow.

Our second big winner is Diana Paterno of Lyndhurst who came pretty close guessing the gender, weight and length of Baristaville's 2010 bundle. Jeremih came in at 7.5 oz and 19.5 inches. Paterno won dinner for two at Bistro 18 and a gift certificate to Amanti Vino's wine club.

Happy wishes to all on this Happy New Year. (Pssst: Baby Jeremih, your new parents need sleep!)

I would like to say thank you to Baristakids and Mountainside Hospital and also all the donors for being so generous. I had the best experience bring my New Year's baby Jeremih into this world at Mountainside Hospital. He loves all the treats he received and I would like to say thank you once again.

Adrienne Dollar

So wonderful to hear from you Adrienne! Congratulations again and send some pictures of Jeremih :)
